Listening to this again this morning, during Not Fade away Bobby is playing the Riffs to Day - O from the 3 minute mark on threw till about the 4 minute mark. So like always I went and listened to other Not fades from this tour and are not there like this version. Sounds to me like he wanted it and Jerry did not pick up on it.
.Key word and i run off a copy. I dont remember it being as good as it sounds today. I am running threw so many 83 shows. 83 was a great year for the scarlet/fires.... help /slip /frankilns will even include china rider. heck 83 was SMOKIN from spring threw fall into winter. I feel so very lucky to look back and know I did not miss a show from 82 to 89 just smokin in the early years.

I wonder what the tipping point was between a Me & My Uncle > Big River vs. > Mexicali Blues. Whose mood drove that decision?

Subject: Great Taper
I met Rango around the time of this show, and a kinder head you'll never find. Fun show, and weekend. While the second set's a bit on the short side, from Bucket through NFA it is one constant, seamless flow. Thank you Rango!

Subject: Exquisite Aud
This here Rango had a knack, a dispensation from the Almighty above to be in the right place, with the right equipment, at the right time, to thoroughly nail an immaculate recording of a spirited performance.

20 out of 5 Stars Rating.
